When and Where are the puppy classes held?

Our puppy classes are run in Melbourne each Thursday evening at 7.00pm and Sunday mornings at 10.00am at Norwood Secondary College in Ringwood (Mullum Mullum Rd Ringwood (Melways Reference 49 K4).

How much do the classes cost?

The cost of our puppy classes, like all our other classes is, the first lesson is free so that you can come along and see what you think of the puppy classes first hand. This is a truly free class with absolutely no obligation. You pay nothing until the next time you come along for a class. Then if you would like to continue training there is two forms of membership.

The first being the "Silver" which has a once off membership fee of $220.00, which is for the life of the dog, then you only need to pay $10.00 each time you train.

The second type of membership, our "Gold" level, is for those looking to train their pup to a high obedience level and has a once off membership fee of $600.00, which again is for the life of the dog, with no further training fees no matter how often or many times you train. At Eastern Companion Dog Training we believe very strongly in puppy training from a very early age. It has been found in many studies that the correct exposure of puppies to high levels of stimuli from 4 to 16 weeks of age greatly improves their overall temperament, specifically their ability to handle and deal with stress as adults, helping to make them more sound temperamented adults.  This early exposure can help prevent many of the most common behavioural problems including aggression, separation anxiety, fear of thunder and many many others.

To further help people achieve this exposure in a safe environment we offer puppy training in Melbourne from as early as 8 weeks of age. All our puppy training or puppy classes are run on sealed surfaces that have been exposed to ultra violet light, all adult dogs used in our puppy class have been fully vaccinated and all dog waste is cleared up A.S.A.P. These and many other precautions taken create as safe an environment as possable for the young pups to come to and be exposed to stimuli correctly and safely. 

As with all our classes, all of our instructors running our puppy school have been through our training programs meaning that all puppy classes are run by professional instructors with very high levels of knowledge as to how to get the most out of your pup, as well as helping with all the normal puppy training issues that arise like toilet training, jumping up, puppy nipping etc as well as teaching all the basic obedience commands such as sit, drop, recall (calling the dog back to you) and the correct socialisation technique (there is a lot more to socialisation than simply letting two dogs play).

Due to incredible popularity we have extended our free puppy classes/puppy training offer.  So from the 1/1/2012 till the 30/12/2012 call us anytime and receive a voucher for 4 free puppy classes.  

To attend these free puppy classes you simply need to give us a call and pick up a voucher when you attend your first puppy class.  The voucher entitles the holder to attend any of our puppy classes run at our training centre.  All our puppy classes are run by our professional trainers.  In these puppy classes we will teach all the basic obedience commands (sit, drop, stand and come) as well as how to stop the puppy from jumping up and nipping, how to correctly toilet/house train your puppy as well as how to correctly socialise your puppy (there is a lot more to correct socialisation than simply allowing your puppy to play with other dogs/puppies).  We also allow plenty of time both before and after the puppy classes to discuss with our trainers any other topics or issues you may be having with your pup.< 

There is no catch.  These truly are free puppy classes.

This voucher can be used for any of our puppy classes and is redeemable for any puppy under 5 months of age.  There are no further charges, they are truly free puppy classes. No membership fees needed unless you decide to train your puppy beyond the 4 free classes. 

Why do we offer this?   This must be the most asked question we receive at the moment and whilst there are a few reasons the main reason we offer free puppy classes is that we truly feel that if you try our services, you will see what we have has real merit and that you will wish to train with us further.  It really is that simple.  Come along and you can try 4 classes at no charge and with no obligation.
