Boarding School :: Training Program
Boarding and Training (which is also known as “Dog Boarding School”, "boarding school for dogs", "Doggie Boot camp"), as the name suggests is a method of training where our trainers take your dog away for a 12 day intensive training program. Dog Boarding school, as a form of training, is highly successful in the curing of behavioural problems and for those too busy to train their dogs themselves. An alternative to our traditional puppy school & group dog training classes in Melbourne, dog boarding school is also fantastic for those that wish to get a head start on their training or for those that are already heading away on holidays and want their dog trained whilst they are away.
Dog Boarding School
As our trainers are fully trained professionals they can achieve very quick results whilst using the most up to date and gentle training methods for your dog. Once the dog is trained in the dog boarding school and understands it’s commands it is very simple for the owner to learn and to continue the training. In most cases this only requires the owner to walk the dog, as by doing so they show the dog that it must also continue what it has learnt.

What does the dog learn?
In the dog boarding schoool program all dogs are trained to walk beside the owner on a loose lead (to heal), sit, drop (to lie down) and come back to the owner upon command. Further to this in the dog baording school we can cure many behavioural problems such as jumping up etc. We can also make a lot of head way into the curing of behavioural problems such a dog to dog or dog to human aggression.
How much does it cost? Dog Boarding School
The basic dog boarding school or puppy training course in Melbourne lasts for 12 days and costs $900.00. This price is inclusive of all food, bedding, pickup and delivery. The delivery includes a full hand back session where we will show you how we have trained the dog in the dog boarding school so that you can understand and easily continue the training. The hand back is done in your home where the dog will be under great distraction after not seeing you for 12 days. This enables you to see exactly how well trained the dog is and how to handle the dog under high levels of distraction.
Further we are also now including in all dog boarding school & puppy school stays either one in-home private lesson done in the owners home 2 weeks after we hand the dog back or a silver level membership to our puppy & dog training centre in Melbourne (customers choice) to make sure that you can continue to hold onto the training we have carried out. One of the risks, or down sides, to all dog boarding schools is that when the dog comes home it can quickly switches back to doing what it was doing in the past if the owner does not continue to do what the trainers have done. The in-home dog training lesson or attending the dog training centre in Melbourne will help prevent this in a way no other method can.

Where does the dog stay?
