Eastern Companion Dog Training was first established in 1997 by a group of experienced dog trainers. Our aim is to provide the highest level of customer service possible to each and every customer, by training dogs to the customer’s individual requirements in lifestyle training and ensuring that we have the best, most up to date knowledge in the training of dogs and the curing of canine behavioral problems.  Further to this we also belive that we can help "all dogs" no matter type, gender or what behavioral problem they have.  We pride ourselves on making our training easy to understand as well as gentle.

At Eastern Companion Dog Training we believe in training for “Life-Style Obedience”. Our focus is ensuring that the dog will behave correctly in all situations, whether it be at home, on the street, at the park or in the competition ring. To this end we offer three seperate formats of training, Group Clases, In Home training and Boarding school.

A large part of “life-style obedience” is that we train the dog to the individual requirements of the customer. In all the formats of training we offer, there is significant room for alteration to fit into the individual requirements of the customer.

A very large part of dog training today is the curing of behavioral problems and behavior modification.  This is our true specialty at Eastern Companion Dog Training as we are contantly curing all of the common and many not so common behavioral problems including Barking, Jumping up, Digging through to aggresion and anxiety based behavioral problems.  We have a huge amount of experience in this field and as our phone is always answered by a trainer you can get sound advice as to what to do with your dog straight away.

We have always sought to be in the forefront of development and advancement in the dog training industry. To this end we make sure that all our trainers are fully trained professionals with our basic instructors course entailing the training of at least 100 dogs, doing at least 100 hours of instruction at the training centre and 12 lectures of behavior and learning principles. Further to this we have constantly sourced the most up to date information available including attending seminars from the world’s top experts in this field as well as reading studies etc conducted in recent times. As well as keeping us at the forefront of development it has also enabled us to become one of the leading dog training groups in the field of canine behavioural problem solving. As we are currently one of the leading groups in this field we are called upon 7 days a week, 364 days a year to cure such problems thus giving us even greater experience on a daily basis.  So you can rest assured that we have experience with what ever problem you face with your dog.

We have also become a group highly sought after to run seminars on canine behavior and dog training to many other dog training groups, animal rescue groups and societies including the Greyhound Adoption Program and The Blue Cross Animal Society.
